Park in the main parking lot, close to the polo field. Walk up past Will Rogers Ranch House, towards the main barn and the riding arena. Once you reach the arena, turn right and look for the wooden ‘Jigsaw Farms’ sign. Continue up the road until you see the wooden ‘Jimmy’s Barn’ sign, and you’ve arrived.
Please arrive early, so you have time to walk from the parking lot to our riding school. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the parking lot to our place, and we plan on 10 minutes to get you signed in for your first class.

All riders MUST wear hard soled, not high heeled boots which cover the ankles and provide necessary support to lower limb areas. Tennis shoes are not safe nor adequate footwear for riding horses. Cowboy boots are acceptable. Long pants. Jeans are preferred to start with. Please bring sunscreen!
All riders are required to wear Certified helmets. First time riders will be provided with a helmet, however return riders will eventually need to buy as a new rider is your own riding helmet. Ask your instructor about local retailers who sell riding helmets.
To start with, no. Jigsaw Farms has trained, safe and experienced horses who are used to teach lessons. The use of a school horse is included in the price of your lesson.
If you already own your own horse but are not boarded at Will Rogers State Historic Park that’s wonderful, we can do that. Horses coming into Jigsaw Farms will need to show proof of negative cogging and be current on all vaccinations.
Yes, we do teach children. Youth riders must be at least 6 years old in order to begin taking riding lessons, with no exceptions. Riding lessons require your child to maintain mental focus, and physical ability for about an hour. Children must be able to be attentive to their riding instructor as well as physically capable of handling a trained horse.
Yes, we do teach adult riders of all experience levels. Adults who are finally pursuing their dream of riding horses are welcome, as well as those who are returning to equestrian sports.
Yes. All riders must weigh less than 210Lbs / 95Kg.
