RIDING ACADEMY

ENGLISH & WESTERN LESSONS

Our riding program is designed to provide a solid foundation for beginning riders and a supportive community in which riders can flourish. Each lesson is focused on developing both the knowledge and skill needed to become a competent equestrian.

Riders will learn about proper horsemanship including grooming, tacking, horse health, safety, psychology and behavior. During the mounted part of the lessons, students will learn to communicate with their horses and develop the skills and confidence to walk, trot, and canter and jump low jumps. Both English and Western lessons are available.

*A Private Evaluation Lesson is required to introduce you to our program and allow your instructor to assess your ability so you can be matched to the lesson that best suits your needs.

INTRODUCTORY EVALUATION LESSON

YOUNG RIDERS

MOMMY/DADDY & ME

This class provides a unique bonding activity for parent and child to enjoy while exposing the child to the wonderful world of ponies. Parent and child work together with the help of an instructor. Your child will develop the balance, strength, and coordination it takes to make their pony walk, trot, turn and stop. Each student will have the opportunity to brush and feed their ponies afterward. You will be instructed on safety, ground manners and how to get truly comfortable around our equine friends. Each session is 45 minutes for children ages 3 and up.
